Iowa put together an impressive first drive that should’ve ended in a 7-0 lead, but a wide open receiver was missed in the end zone on a HB pass play. They missed a field goal and when they looked up, Michigan had rambled for 147 yards on back to back plays, giving Michigan a 14-0 lead. Iowa put together enough of a drive to put 3 on the board with a field goal. Michigan is in complete control of the game after the end of the 1st quarter. And how about that HB pass play from Donovan Edwards!! Sheesh! What can’t he do!? GO BLUE!

Iowa’s open drive ending with the missed field goal was the omen that foreshadowed it was not going to be their day.
