Great article. I know May has my trust, watching from a distance how he has conducted himself, and the way his players seem to have worked intently to become a cohesive unit. It gives me confidence to read about May’s attention to detail. Having said that, I think Michigan remains the most mysterious team in college basketball. I only hope May’s teams replicate Beilein’s legacy of being strongest at the end of the season, the team no one wants to play in a tournament.

Thanks, Bob! You're right in noting that this is all about trust, and Coach May has that with his players and staff. That's the foundation of everything. And I also hope his teams, like Coach Beilein's, are at their best down the stretch. I'd always love the talk we'd have in January when John would tell me about players who were about to become big contributors. I remember Duncan Robinson and Muhammad Ali Abdur-Rahkman being two of those.

Thanks, Brian. I'm glad you enjoyed the story on Coach May. I agree that his years here have the chance to be something really special, just like Coach Beilein's were.

What a great introduction to Coach May. If he can replicate his success at FAU, Coach May will be as good a hire for the Michigan men’s basketball program as Coach Beilein was. And that will be great new for Wolverines hoops fans.
